Boehringer Ingelheim Korea says it will launch its oral OTC product Mucopect tablet (ambroxol HCl) sooner or later.
Ambroxol is a metabolite of bromhexine. It is an expectoration improver and mucolytic agent used in the treatment of acute and chronic disorders characterized by the production of excess or thick mucus. It works to decrease mucus viscosity by altering its structure.
